Backstory:
After using OKRs religiously in my startup, I wondered what would happen if I applied them to goals in my personal life. Things like:
- Fitness and sports goals
- Financial goals
- Personal development
At the same time, I'd been reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, Measure What Matters, and High Output Management.
I synthesised ideas from all these books into this framework.
I published an article in 2018 on my system for setting and achieving big goals in my personal life, and it blew up.
The article quickly climbed to the #1 spot on Google, and has sat in the top 3 positions ever since.
My own Results
In 2022, after years of using my own Personal OKRs framework, I completed one of my biggest goals that seemed impossible a few years ago; finishing Ironman Wales.
